Powers of Attorney and
Legal Guardianships for
Adults with Incapacity
The issue of adult incapacity can, sooner or later, affect most of our families. Incapacity can be caused by either a physical disability or a mental disorder and means that an adult is not capable of making decisions for themselves, communicating decisions or retaining memory of decisions.
At Stodarts we have considerable expertise in helping families with this sensitive matter. Often the solution will be the use of a Power of Attorney or, where that is not possible, through a Guardianship Order from the court. More information on both of these options can be found by clicking the links at the top of this page.
Please feel free to contact us by email, telephone or post to discuss any matter where we might be of assistance to you. We will be happy to provide you with details of our charges.
